From an alignment guys perspective, I hate these tires. I have more problems with tire pulls with Toyo Open Country MT’s than any other brand and model of tire. One good thing I will say about this newer model of MT on this 2011 Tundra was they were very quiet and they had a nice comfortable ride. But getting the truck to drive straight with them was quite a pain in the ass.

Hello Joe.
Just watched your video about toyo tires and wished I had seen it earlier before I ordered toyo tires. I have a 2007 Dodge 3500 with all the death wobble, stiff empty ride and pull to one side problems that most other owners are complaining about. My question is this. What other tire would you recommend? I’m buying my second set of toyo tires because they are really great in the snow in New England, however I feel that they might just be too much for stock suspension to handle (285/75R17). Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi Phil,
It’s true I’m not much of a fan of Toyo’s. But to be fair, Dodge Rams typically pull right because the caster needs to be set. I keep reading these stories about the death wobble not being able to be fixed, but I’ve fixed every single truck that’s came into my shop with it. I’d be rich if I had a shop on the mainland.
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac is a seriously good tire in the snow. It would be my first choice. I drove a F250 Ford with them recently and it was nice. I’ve read a lot of reviews at Tirerack and everybody that runs them in snow country likes them. There some reports they drive kinda squirrely on the hi-way, but that wasn’t my experience with them.
