If you’re looking for an ultra high performance all season tire for your Vette, BMW or Lexus, this tire is an excellent choice.
Everybody really likes these tires. A friend of mine has a set on his Vette and he thinks the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP is the best thing since sliced bread. Below is short video he and I shot in the shop recently when I was aligning his car after some new suspension mods he just installed. He tells you just what he thinks about the Michelins on his car.
Originally designed for the C5 & C6 Corvette, these tires shaved 4 seconds off lap times compared to the original equipment Goodyears according Michelin when they tested the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP side by side. They also come in sizes that fit Lexus and BMW.
These fit Lexus SC 430, BMW 328i, C5 & C6
I’ve read a lot of reviews from people who’ve bought this tire, and the over whelming majority were glad they did.
Buy or No Buy?
What’s not to like about a 45,000 mile rated tire that everyone raves about? YES, I would buy these.

I’ve been researching tires for my 2001 Corvette convertible for more than 2 weeks now and after reading hundreds of reviews, I ordered 4 of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP’s from Tirerack.com. Although I won’t receive the new treads for a few days, I can’t wait to get rid of the Goodyears. I’m excited and hopeful that all of these reviews are as accurate as I want them to be. Thanks to everyone for posting your experiences.
My friend Terry loves his A/S ZP’s, I think you will too. Terry’s an animal, if they’re good enough for him, they’re good enough for most people. I’m pretty sure you’ll love your new Michelin’s.
I just had a set of the A/S ZP’s installed on my 99 C5 convertible. I will say that ride and road noise have improved considerably over the original Goodyear F1′s. However they change the look of the car considerably. I would say they are downright ugly on a Vette. The rounded edges and higher profile make it look like I just put min van tires on a Corvette.
I had a set of these on my 1994 coevette when I bought it a few years ago. I could’nt seem to keep the darn car on the road in the rain, I live in Washington State, drive my vette to work every day putting over 40k miles a year on it. The Michelin tires were brand spanking new and lasted me about 30k. Thank goodness I went back to Goodyear Eagle F1. They are incredible. I am pulling off my 2nd set on this car, they have over 80k on them and have been thru 2 winters of snow, rain, hail and heat. I have never lost control, the noise is not too bad and I can literally run them bald before replacig them. LOL
Just as a side note, I am about 200 miles away from passing the 300k mark with my car, and the guys I work with cannot believe I drive it in every type of weather unless it is flooding on our roads. Vette don’t swim very well….
I wish you all happy driving with your Michelins, I just prefer my Eagles.
