BFGoodrich Mud Terrain TA KM2 Tire Review

The  BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain Tire T/A KM2 is a great all around off road tire. They ride nice, don’t have a lot of highway noise and I’ve seen these last upwards of 50,000 miles. According to BFGoodrich they’re promoted as a mudder, but in fact you can run them in the rocks and they’ll hold up just fine as you’ll see in the video below.If you’re wondering what the “KM” stands for, it means key benefit mud traction. Kinda lame, but that’s what it means. Why couldn’t it have been something like “killer mudder” instead? If you’re looking for a serious tire, this one is a contender with its race proven background in the deserts of North America.Users report regularly they get about 50,000 miles out of a set. I’ve talked to a lot of my customers with these tires and they all have had very similar results.

One user review I read said he’s pulled a lot of trucks out of the mud with his KM 2′s. He also stated that one time he did a comparison with his friend who was running BFG All Terrains. They both went up a super steep hill, his friend had to put it in 4wheel drive. The guy with the KM 2′s did it in 2 wheel drive. That’s how much better the bite is with them.Pretty impressive.  Definitely a better tire for the mud than it’s less aggressive brother the  All Terain TA KO.  If you spend more time in the mud than the average off-roader and want a tire that will work in most situations, but don’t want the lousy ride and wear characteristics of a super aggressive mudder, this may be a good choice for you.
